Note: The Times obituary, written by Hugh Ennion and published on 14th March 1981, implies that there was an exhibition at Ackermann’s immediately
after the war.
However, no catalogue has come to light and Hugh may have had in mind the 1948
exhibition. An article Eric contributed to Sport and Country to publicize the 1956
exhibition states that 1956 was his fifth; “the last one was in 1948 at the same galleries”.
